Nicky believes that we all possess the power to heal ourselves if given the right tools and support that lead to increased awareness of how this affects our thoughts, actions and our emotional state. In practice she uses a combination of various therapeutic techniques that are determined through discussions of the person's needs, preferences and strengths. Tailoring each treatment plan is much like assembling a puzzle; after framing the circumstances that drew you to therapy, you will fill in the pieces together, revising perspective and techniques as needed throughout.

Nicky has a Bachelors degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Masters degree in Social Work. She is currently a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has worked with people with intellectual disabilities and autism for over 20 years, and has been providing therapy on a volunteer basis at Walk In Counseling Clinic for 4 years with a range of clients.
