Lizabeth Flink
LPCC
My career in counseling began in 1991 in the Palm Beach County, Florida jails working to help men and women suffering from addition. Since then, I have had the fortune to experience the sharing of many stories in a variety of settings including; women and children in shelters, adolescents in juvenile homes, children in foster care, the developmentally disabled in group homes and several treatment centers for addiction and alcoholism. Within these settings I have provided therapy to individuals struggling with Substance use, Depressions, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders and Life Transitions.
For the last six years, I have been in private practice and have come to know my own strengths; I am empathic, I instill hope and I am nonjudgmental. Most of all, I believe in the ability to heal. Through the years I have developed skills in several disciplines. I utilize an eclectic evidence-based approach to therapy incorporating tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT ), Humanistic Psychology, Existential Therapy, Spirituality, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT ), and Trauma Informed. Most of all, I respect each person as a unique individual who is capable, has strengths, has purpose and desires a joyous life.
On a personal note, I love spending time with my family, two dogs and friends. I hike, read, bike, practice yoga and meditation and paint with acrylics and oils.
