Leah is a Registered Art Therapist who believes that therapy starts with feeling safe, seen, and genuinely understood. She views the therapeutic relationship as an important part of the healing process and works to build a strong foundation of trust and connection with each client. Leah takes a relational and person-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to create a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, authentic, and aligned with their individual needs.
Leah has worked with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including schools, in-home services, and free clinics. These experiences have shaped her belief that every person brings their own unique story, strengths, and ways of making sense of the world. She enjoys getting to know each client as an individual and helping them feel empowered in their own process of growth and healing.
Leah provides trauma-informed and healing-centered care. She has experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult or traumatic experiences. As an art therapist, she incorporates creative and expressive approaches into therapy when they feel meaningful to the client. She believes that there is no single way to engage in therapy and that creativity can offer another way to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.
Above all, Leah strives to create a space where clients can come as they are; with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. She believes that meaningful change grows from a strong therapeutic relationship and from feeling that your therapist is truly alongside you in the process.
