Philosophy

The therapeutic relationship is a true partnership, based on confidentiality, empathy, compassion and unconditional positive regard. This relationship is meant to empower my clients, supporting them as they make changes that can lead to emotional health and a positive sense of well-being.

Practice

I focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, life management, stress management, and relationships. I have an individualized, client-centered, therapeutic approach because I believe everyone is uniquely themselves and therapy should reflect that quality. Much of my practice has been focused on individuals in the LGBTQ community as well as people and their loved ones when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Positive Psychology, and Supportive Counseling I help clients cope with their challenges.

Together we concentrate on how you are currently feeling emotionally and physically, and how your thoughts and feelings are affecting your relationships and your daily life. We will focus on how we can work together to lift your spirits and help you cope with the challenges that come your way.
